昔々、ある村に可愛い女の子がいました。おばあさんが赤いずきんを作ってくれたので、みんなは彼女を赤ずきんと呼びました。
Once upon a time, there was a cute girl in a certain village. Because her grandmother made her a red hood, everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood.
ある日、お母さんが言いました。「おばあさんが病気だから、このケーキとぶどう酒を持っていってください。寄り道をしてはいけませんよ。」
One day, her mother said, "Since grandmother is sick, please take this cake and wine to her. You must not wander off the path."
赤ずきんは、森の中でおばあさんの家へ向かいました。途中で、悪い狼に会いました。狼は「こんにちは。赤ずきん、どこへ行くの？」と聞きました。
Little Red Riding Hood headed to her grandmother's house in the forest. On the way, she met a wicked wolf. The wolf asked, "Hello. Little Red Riding Hood, where are you going?"
「おばあさんの家へ行くの」と赤ずきんが答えると、狼は先に走って行きました。狼はおばあさんを食べて、おばあさんの服を着てベッドに寝ました。
When Little Red Riding Hood answered, "I'm going to grandmother's house," the wolf ran ahead. The wolf ate the grandmother, put on her clothes, and lay in bed.
赤ずきんが家に着くと、おばあさんの耳や目がいつもより大きかったです。「おばあさんの口はどうしてこんなに大きいの？」と聞きました。
When Little Red Riding Hood arrived at the house, grandmother's ears and eyes were larger than usual. She asked, "Grandmother, why is your mouth so big?"
「それは、お前を食べるためだよ！」と言って、狼は赤ずきんを丸飲みにしてしまいました。狼はお腹が一杯になって寝ました。
The wolf said, "That is for eating you!" and swallowed Little Red Riding Hood whole. The wolf's belly became full, and he fell asleep.
しかし、近くを通った猟師が狼を見つけました。猟師が狼のお腹を切ると、おばあさんと赤ずきんが元気に出てきました。みんなでお祝いをしました。
However, a hunter passing nearby found the wolf. When the hunter cut open the wolf's belly, the grandmother and Little Red Riding Hood came out safely. Everyone celebrated together.
