Only / nothing but. Refers to having a lot of the same thing, or doing the same thing repeatedly. Often used in a negative sense.
Examples
彼は遊んでばかりいる。
He does nothing but play.
最近、雨ばかり降っている。
It's been raining all the time recently.
甘いものばかりを食べてはいけません。
You shouldn't eat only sweets.
文句ばかり言わないでください。
Please don't just complain.
悪いことばかりが起こる。
Only bad things happen.
遊びばかりの生活はよくない。
A life of nothing but play is not good.
彼は仕事ばかりで、なかなか結婚相手が見つからない。
He does nothing but work, so he can't find a marriage partner.
