1A clothespin or clothes peg — a small clip used to fasten laundry to a clothesline or drying rack. Comes in plastic or wood, in many shapes and sizes. The small clips attached to a hanging dryer in large numbers are also called ピンチ. Usually written 洗濯ばさみ, sometimes 洗濯バサミ.
