むかしむかし、アラジンという貧しい少年がいました。ある日、魔法使いの男に騙されて、危険な洞窟へ不思議なランプを取りに行かされました。洞窟には金銀財宝がたくさんありましたが、アラジンがランプを手に入れたとたん、男は彼を洞窟の中に閉じ込めてしまいました。
Once upon a time, there was a poor boy named Aladdin. One day, he was deceived by a wizard and sent to a dangerous cave to retrieve a mysterious lamp. The cave was filled with gold and silver treasures, but as soon as Aladdin got his hands on the lamp, the man trapped him inside the cave.
真っ暗な中でアラジンが困ってランプをこすると、中から巨大な魔神が現れました。「ご主人様、どんな願いでも三つ叶えて差し上げます」と魔神は言いました。アラジンが「家に帰りたい」と願うと、あっという間に家に戻ることができました。
In the pitch blackness, Aladdin rubbed the lamp in distress, and a giant genie appeared from within. "Master, I will grant you any three wishes," the genie said. When Aladdin wished to "go home," he was able to return home in an instant.
アラジンはランプの力を使って、裕福な王子になり、美しいお姫様と結婚することになりました。幸せな生活が続くと思われましたが、あの悪い魔法使いがランプを奪うために再び現れました。「古いランプを新しいランプと交換します」と嘘をついて、お姫様からランプを手に入れたのです。
Aladdin used the power of the lamp to become a wealthy prince and marry a beautiful princess. It seemed their happy life would continue, but that wicked wizard appeared again to steal the lamp. He lied, saying "I will exchange old lamps for new ones," and obtained the lamp from the princess.
魔法使いは魔神に命令し、お城ごと遠くの国へ運んでしまいました。アラジンは絶望しましたが、指輪の精霊の助けを借りて、魔法使いのいる国へたどり着きました。
The wizard commanded the genie and transported the entire castle to a far-off land. Aladdin was in despair, but with the help of the spirit of the ring, he reached the land where the wizard was.
アラジンはお姫様と協力して魔法使いに毒を飲ませ、ついにランプを取り戻しました。アラジンが再びランプをこすると、お城は元の場所に戻すことができました。その後、アラジンは国を立派に治め、みんな平和に暮らしました。
Aladdin cooperated with the princess to poison the wizard and finally took back the lamp. When Aladdin rubbed the lamp again, the castle was returned to its original location. Afterwards, Aladdin ruled the country splendidly, and everyone lived in peace.
