Used to indicate that if a certain action or event occurs, all prior efforts, value, or meaning will be lost or in vain.
Note
Expresses that all prior efforts, conditions, or values become meaningless if a certain event occurs. It conveys a strong sense of finality or that once a specific limit is passed, there is no way to recover or compensate.
