〜どころか

Meaning
Used to emphasize that the actual situation is far beyond or even opposite to what was mentioned.
Note
A powerful expression of contrast. It is used to say that not only is the first thing true, but something even more extreme is the case, or that the reality is the reverse of the first thing. Similar to '〜ばかりか' for addition, but '〜どころか' has a stronger sense of contrast or 'far from it.'
Examples
そんなこと、できるどころか、聞いたこともない。
Far from being able to do such a thing, I haven't even heard of it.
彼は手伝ってくれるどころか、掃除の邪魔をした。
Far from helping, he actually got in the way of the cleaning.
この部屋は涼しいどころか、寒いくらいだ。
This room is far from cool; it's practically cold.
その映画は面白いどころか、退屈で途中で寝てしまった。
That movie was far from interesting; it was so boring I fell asleep in the middle.
今の仕事は暇どころか、毎日残業でとても忙しい。
My current job is far from free; I'm very busy with overtime every day.
静かどころか、隣の部屋がうるさくて全く眠れない。
Far from being quiet, it's so noisy in the next room that I can't sleep at all.
