Meaning
Express the speaker's desire or wish to do something.
Note
Expresses the speaker's desires (or the listener's in questions). It cannot normally be used for a third party without modifiers (use 'tagaru' instead).
Examples
日本に行きたいです。
I want to go to Japan.
もっと日本語を勉強したい。
I want to study Japanese more.
食べたいものがたくさんあります。
There are many things I want to eat.
