Meaning
Used to emphasize that even the smallest amount or the least possible instance of something is not allowed or does not happen. Usually used with a negative expression.
Note
Preceded by a counter (e.g., 'one minute', 'one step') or a noun representing a very small amount (e.g., 'a grain of dust'). A formal expression.
