1A polite adverb used when asking someone to do something, often paired with a request as in 「どうぞ〜てください」 ("please...").

2Used to grant permission or willingly accept someone's request, as in 「どうぞご自由に」("please, feel free").

3An expression used when handing something to someone, often as 「はい、どうぞ」("here you are").

4In child speech, used to mean "to give" or "to hand over" — e.g. a toddler saying "どうぞする" when giving a toy to someone.
