4(colloquial) Used as 終わっている／終わった to mean someone or something is past its prime — no longer having the momentum, popularity, or appeal it once had.
あのバンド、もう終わってるよ。昔ほど人気ない。
That band is done; they're not as popular as they used to be.
彼はもうサッカー選手としては終わっている。全盛期の輝きはもうない。
As a soccer player, he's already past his prime; he no longer has the brilliance of his peak.
5(colloquial) Used as 終わってる to give a strongly negative evaluation — awful, terrible, hopeless ('it's over' in a very negative way).
今日のプレゼン、準備不足で終わってるよ。
Today's presentation is a disaster because of poor preparation.
彼の態度はもう終わってる。改善する気がない。
His attitude is hopeless; he has no intention of improving.
