1A traditional Japanese storehouse — a thick-walled, often fireproof building for keeping valuables, rice, tools, and the like. Written 蔵 (for treasures/valuables), 倉 (for grain/goods), or, rarely, 庫. This is the kun'yomi 「くら」, distinct from the on'yomi 「ぞう」 entry.
