〜きっかけで
Formation
Meaning
Indicates that a certain action or event became the motivation or start for something else.
Note
Indicates a catalyst or turning point that triggers a new action, habit, or state. It focuses on the reason or 'spark' that started a process. While '〜をきっかけに' and '〜がきっかけで' are very similar, '〜きっかけに' is slightly more formal and often used for positive changes or deliberate shifts, while '〜きっかけで' can be more accidental or neutral. '〜を契機に' (keiki) is a much stiffer version used for major events.
