〜ことだし
Formation
Meaning
Expresses a light or casual reason. It suggests that since there is a particular reason (among others), a certain action or decision should be taken.
Note
A conversational way to introduce a reason, often with the nuance that there are multiple factors involved. It combines the nominalizer 'こと' with the enumerating particle 'し'. It is frequently used when suggesting or deciding something based on the current situation ('since this is the case...'). Compared to a simple 'から' or 'ので', it feels softer and more grounded in a specific context.
