1A polite, humble way of asking for something (please). Used both for concrete requests — ordering, asking someone to do something — and to express hope for another person's cooperation or goodwill, as in よろしくお願いします.

One coffee, please.
すみません、お会計をお願いします。
Excuse me, the check, please.
では、この資料のコピーをお願いします。
Then, please make copies of these documents.
（タクシーで）駅までお願いします。
(In a taxi) To the station, please.
来週の会議の準備をお願いします。
