Meaning
Used to emphasize the extreme degree of something that caused surprise, emotion, or a strong reaction.
Note
Indicates that the degree of a quality or state (often expressed in the -sa form) is so high that the speaker is deeply moved or surprised. Implies a 'words cannot describe' nuance. Often followed by a description of the result or state caused by that extreme level.

その美しさといったら、言葉では表現できないほどだ。
The beauty of it was such that it's impossible to describe in words.
彼女の怒った時の怖さといったら、もう、顔も見られない。
The fear when she is angry is such that you can't even look at her face.
