5To deceive or sweet-talk someone into doing what you want; to take someone for a ride (colloquial), as in 口車に乗せる. Written 乗せる.

6To set a song, words, or melody to musical accompaniment or a rhythm; to carry it over the backing. Written 乗せる.

7To bring someone in on a plan, team, or deal; to let them take part (colloquial), as in 計画に乗せる. Written 乗せる.

8To hype someone up; to get an audience or person excited and into the mood. Written 乗せる.

9To publish or run an article, photo, or advertisement in a newspaper, magazine, or website. In the sense of publishing, written 載せる.
