私の好きな食べ物はラーメンです。色々な食べ物が好きですが、ラーメンがいちばん好きです。子供の時から、家族でよくラーメンを食べていました。寒い日にあたたかいラーメンを食べると、体も心もあたたかくなります。一人で食べる時も、家族で食べる時も、いつもしあわせな気持ちになります。
My favorite food is ramen. I like all kinds of food, but I like ramen best. Ever since I was a child, my family has often eaten ramen together. When I eat warm ramen on a cold day, both my body and my heart feel warm. Whether I eat it alone or with my family, it always makes me feel happy.
ラーメンには色々な味があります。みそ、しょうゆ、しお、とんこつなど、たくさんあります。私はみそ味より、しょうゆ味のほうが好きです。スープの匂いがとてもよくて、店の前を通るだけで、すぐに食べたくなります。麺はかたいのが好きですが、母はやわらかい麺が好きです。同じ家族でも好きな味がちがうのが、おもしろいと思います。
Ramen comes in many flavors. There are lots of them, like miso, soy sauce, salt, and tonkotsu. I prefer soy sauce flavor over miso. The smell of the broth is so good that just walking past a shop makes me want to eat it right away. I like firm noodles, but my mother likes soft noodles. I think it's interesting that even within the same family, everyone has different tastes.
母の作るラーメンは本当においしいです。母は野菜や肉や魚をたくさん入れてくれます。私は卵が大好きだから、いつも卵を二つ入れます。母が料理をしながら、私と色々な話をします。台所はあたたかくて、いい匂いがします。その時間が一日でいちばん楽しい時間です。
The ramen my mother makes is truly delicious. She adds lots of vegetables, meat, and fish. Because I love eggs, I always put in two of them. While she cooks, my mother and I talk about all sorts of things. The kitchen is warm and smells wonderful. That's my favorite time of the day.
去年の冬、家族で北海道へ旅行に行きました。北海道は寒いですが、ラーメンの店がとても多いです。私たちは小さい店に入って、みそラーメンを食べました。スープがあつくて、麺がもちもちしていて、本当においしかったです。「これが日本でいちばんおいしいラーメンだ」と思いました。でも、家に帰ってから、やっぱり母のラーメンがいちばんだと思いました。
Last winter, my family went on a trip to Hokkaido. Hokkaido is cold, but there are a lot of ramen shops. We went into a small shop and had miso ramen. The broth was piping hot and the noodles were beautifully chewy — it was really delicious. "This is the best ramen in Japan," I thought. But after I came home, I still felt that my mother's ramen was the best.
弟はラーメンよりカレーのほうが好きです。父は寿司がいちばん好きだと言います。家族みんな、好きな食べ物がちがいます。でも、週末には、よくみんなでラーメンを食べに行きます。お店でビールを飲んだり、ぎょうざを食べたりしながら、いろいろな話をします。その時間が本当に好きです。
My younger brother prefers curry over ramen. My father says sushi is his favorite. Everyone in my family has a different favorite food. But on weekends, we often go out to eat ramen together. While we drink beer and eat gyoza at the restaurant, we talk about all kinds of things. I really love that time together.
これからも色々な店のラーメンを食べたいです。日本中のラーメンを食べることができたら、とてもうれしいと思います。そして、いつか自分でもおいしいラーメンを作ることができるようになりたいです。
I want to keep trying ramen from all kinds of shops. I would be so happy if I could eat ramen from all over Japan. And someday, I want to be able to make delicious ramen myself.
