Formation:

Verb(dict. form) / Verb(ta-form) + ほうがいい Verb(nai-form) + ほうがいい ※ Verb(dict. form)は中立的、V(ta-form)は推薦の気持ちが強い

Express advice or recommendation. Used to advise or give warning that something bad will happen if you don't.

もう遅いから、早く寝たほうがいいですよ。
