来月、友達の結婚式に出るので、新しい服を買いに行きました。いつもはネットで買い物をしますが、大事な服は実際に着てみたほうがいいと思いました。
Next month I am attending a friend’s wedding, so I went shopping for new clothes. I usually shop online, but for something important I thought it would be better to try things on in person.
デパートに入ると、きれいな服がたくさん並んでいました。一人で選ぶのは難しそうだったので、店員さんに相談することにしました。
When I entered the department store, many beautiful outfits were on display. Choosing alone seemed difficult, so I decided to ask a shop assistant for help.
「結婚式に着ていく服を探しているんですが」と言うと、店員さんが三着ほど選んでくれました。「こちらのほうがお客様に合っていると思いますよ」と言われました。
When I said I was looking for something to wear to a wedding, the assistant picked out about three options. I was told that one of them would probably suit me best.
試着室で着てみました。一着目は少し大きすぎて、二着目は色が暗すぎました。三着目はサイズもぴったりで、明るい色がとても似合っていると思いました。
I tried them on in the fitting room. The first was a little too big, and the second was too dark in color. The third fit perfectly, and I thought the brighter color suited me very well.
値段を見ると、思ったより高かったです。でも、結婚式のためだし、これからも使えるし、買うことにしました。
When I checked the price, it was higher than I had expected. Still, it was for a wedding, and I could wear it again, so I decided to buy it.
靴も買おうかどうか迷いましたが、今日は服だけにしておきました。いい買い物ができて満足です。
I wondered whether to buy shoes as well, but today I stuck to clothes only. I am satisfied that I made a good purchase.
