来週の土曜日に、私の誕生日パーティーを開くことにしました。友達を何人か招待しようと思っています。
I decided to hold a birthday party at my place next Saturday. I plan to invite several friends.
まず、友達の田中さんに連絡しました。「土曜日にうちでパーティーをするんだけど、来ない？」と誘いました。田中さんは「行きたいけど、午前中はアルバイトがあるんだ。午後からなら行けるよ」と言いました。
First I contacted my friend Tanaka. I asked, “I’m having a party at my place on Saturday—want to come?” Tanaka said, “I’d love to, but I have a part-time job in the morning. I can come from the afternoon on.”
他の友達にもメッセージを送りました。「料理は私が作るから、飲み物だけ持ってきてくれない？」とお願いしました。みんな「いいよ」と言ってくれました。
I sent messages to my other friends too. I asked them to bring drinks only, since I would handle the food. Everyone said that was fine.
パーティーのために、部屋をきれいにしておかなければなりません。飾りつけもしたいので、百円ショップで風船やリボンを買ってきました。
I have to clean my room before the party. I also wanted decorations, so I bought balloons and ribbon at a hundred-yen shop.
料理は何を作るか、まだ迷っています。みんなが好きなものを作ったほうがいいでしょう。ピザとサラダなら、簡単に作れるし、みんなも喜ぶはずです。
I am still undecided about what to cook. I should probably make things everyone likes. Pizza and salad should be easy to prepare, and everyone should enjoy them.
久しぶりに友達と集まれるので、今からワクワクしています。きっと楽しいパーティーになるでしょう。
I have not seen my friends in a long time, so I am already excited. I am sure it will be a fun party.
