Talking about Dreams

A conversation talking about future dreams with a friend.

友達A

Yamada-kun, what kind of work do you want to do in the future?

I'm thinking I'd like to become a computer programmer.

友達A

Oh, that's cool. Why a programmer?

Because I want people all over the world to play the games I make. How about you, Sato-san?

友達A

I'm thinking I want to work overseas. I want to get to know the cultures of all sorts of countries.

That sounds cool. Which country are you planning to go to?

友達A

I haven't decided yet, but to be able to speak English, I'm studying a little bit every day.

That's admirable. I hear that recently more and more Japanese people are working abroad.

友達A

Yeah. It might be tough, but I want to become able to do all sorts of different things. Are you planning to join a game company, Yamada-kun?

That's the plan, but first I want to really learn programming properly in university. After I graduate, I'd love to work at a famous company in Tokyo.

友達A

So we're on different paths, but let's cheer each other on, yeah?

Definitely. It'd be great if both of our dreams have come true ten years from now.

友達A

Let's absolutely make them come true. Alright, I'd better start working harder right now.
